Spring in Wine country

Although a Rainy start to the Wine Season, we have had two great Events in May. Pig Out and the 1/2 Corked Marathon. The Pig Out is a great event that takes place on the first weekend in May where you quite literally Pig Out on Food and Wine. Wonderful time had by all who attended. If you have never been to this event, it is totally worth checking out.

The 1/2 Corked Marathon was this past weekend and boy did it rain! Rumor has it, this was the first time it has rained like that during the Marathon. Most took it in stride and had a great time despite being soaked.

May 25th also marked the kick off to the Tinhorn Creek Concert Series. The rain held off for the first half of the show but started again during the intermission. Great show despite the weather. Below is a shot of The Matinee putting on a great show. After intermission, almost the whole place was up dancing! Rain or shine, it is always a good time!

.

June is filled with more possibilities as Wine Country gears up. Soon there will be Concerts in the park every Thursday night as well as Concerts in the vineyards at various spots through out Oliver. Mid-week is the best time to visit for a more laid-back and leisurely visit. Wineries have a bit more time to spend with their guests than on the weekends. Not to mention the trails are less busy too!

Looking for a place to stay? Give us a call and come visit us some time!
